- Manhattan and Annie Hall - I watched these both in the last week, but in my head they are the same movie -- don't get me wrong though, I thoroughly enjoyed them. Annie Hall is Alvie Singer (Woody Allen) and this crazy gal Annie Hall (Dian Keaton) doing New York neurotics and relationship hardship. Manhattan is Isaac Davis (Woody Allen) and some other guys (including Diane Keaton, and Mariel Hemingway) doing relationship triangulations -- Isaac is dating a 17 year old, but falls for his best friends mistress (Diane Keaton).
- Carlito's Way - Oh man, its a sign of a good movie when you've watched it several times, and each time you're still on the edge of your seat willing the ending to be a certain way, knowing that it never can.
- Indian Runner - Directed by Sean Penn and starring Viggo Mortensen (trivia: both appear in Carlito's Way), story of "two brothers with nothing in common except blood". Very Good.
- American Splendor - Story of a depressed file clerk who takes to writing reality comics, achieves a modicum of fame, and endures/builds a strangely mutually annoying/rewarding marriage. Likeable in a weird sort of way.
- Sopranos Season Three - Not really a movie, but probably the most addictive, gripping of the lot!
