starring Hugh Jackman, Christian Bale and Scarlett Johanssen

Annoying, because it was trying to be clever and just ended up being supremely confusing.  Certainly not as good as Memento (by the same director).  Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale are competitors in the world of magic and illusion.  The unfortunate drowning of Hugh Jackman's wife, leads to a lifelong hatred between the two men, which gets more and more vitriolic and out of hand, leading to the climax and twist of the film.
